How Overwhelm and Burnout affects us

Life balance

When we are living with chronic stress it is very easy for our lives to become unbalanced. Certain areas of our life take over and other, often restorative areas, diminish. Working together we can recover the right balance for you, so that you feel peaceful and content with your life.

Physical illness

Very often chronic stress can cause physical illnesses to develop. Stress causes a great deal of tension and dis-ease within the body, which affects the body's natural ability to heal itself. Stress can be a contributing factor for conditions such as digestive issues, back and other muscular/skeletal pain, autoimmune conditions and chronic illnesses such as ME/CFS and fibromyalgia. Learning to understand the connection between the mind and body can help to alleviate these physical symptoms. 

Anxiety

When our mind and body is living with chronic stress, we very often can feel overwhelmed with worry, which causes us to feel anxious. We have worries about getting everything done, pleasing people, being good enough, fitting in and many more. All these thoughts can leave us feeling like our life is out of our control. I can help you to find clarity, take back control and not feel fearful.

Fatigue and Sleep

Feeling tired and fatigued is very common when living with chronic stress. Living in this stressed state is very energy depleting, and to regain energy I can show you tools and techniques that will enable the mind and body to relax and move out of this highly stressed state.

Nervous system regulation

Our autonomic nervous system has two divisions, the sympathetic or fight or flight division, and the parasympathetic or rest and digest division. When we are living with chronic stress we are in the sympathetic division the majority of the time, causing chronic stress within us. We are not designed to live in this state for long periods of time, and are unable to heal and restore ourselves when in this state. I can teach you how to shift yourself out of this state, so that you can heal and find balance.

Loss of our true self

When we are so consumed by the everyday stress of life, and just getting through each day, we forget or feel we don't have the time to look inside and actually ask ourselves what we really want and what makes us happy. This disconnect from our true self causes emotions and feelings within us, such as lack of clarity, dissatisfaction, sadness, feeling lost and many others. I can support you to find this connection with your authentic self, allowing joy and harmony to flow into your life.
